The Ink Yield is the amount of a ink you use when printing large format items.

This calculation will vary for each machine.

The measurements used to calculate the yield will come from several sources.

- Ink Cartridge size (Volume)

- Ink Cartridge cost

- Area the ink can cover

Metric Conversion

The Yield in ml (volume) is divided by the number of cm (distance) in a square meter (area).

Question: How many cm in 1 sq meter?

Answer: 10,000 sq cm

Step 1

Determine "how many mls of ink is used to print 1 sq meter" of the substrate.

For example: Let's say we use 9ml of ink to print 1 sq meter.

Step 2

Therefore the calculation would be 10,000 divide by 9 = 1111.1111

In the Ink yield field you would type the answer 1111.1111
