We have created an editable product where the customer can upload their artwork and send to us for printing.
How can we ensure the artwork provided is of a satisfactory quality?
We use a third party called Enfocus Pitstop to fulfil this requirement.
The Pitstop utility is an add-on tool to your subscription and can be set up to automatically check files uploaded into the eStore. It can also be used manually by your team to check any files at any time and appears as an icon in the top right corner of your system, see below:
Pitstop is a preflight tool that will assist in checking the uploaded file and advising if corrections are required and in some cases auto correcting the files for you.
This is done by creating a series of Pitstop Profiles and then assigning the profiles to the products in the eStore.
When a customer logs into the eStore and uploads the artwork and places the order, Pitstop will check the uploaded file against the specifications of the profile, before creating the new order in ePrint MIS. You receive the original file, the checked/corrected file, and a Pitstop report explaining what was corrected and any other issues that still exist.
Some things that can be checked include; colour, size, image resolution, however there are many options.
