Editable Products can be placed on an eStore so that customers can customise and personalise the product. Examples of items that can potentially be an editable product include business cards, custom stationery and promotional items.

When selecting Products, then viewing All Products, an editable product is easily recognised by the icon that is displayed on the right of the screen.

At a minimum, before designing an editable product you must do the following;

  1. Create the eStore
  2. Create the Category/Categories to display on the eStore
  3. Ensure the Product overview has been setup and saved to the Products module.

The links to these videos explaining each of these steps is located at the bottom of this article.

In this article we use a business card for a company called Sunset Cruises. All of the above items have been completed, this video will focus on the process the system administrator undertakes to set the design of the productso that it can be personalised by each individual who orders from the eStore.

In this article we will refer to the back-end of the design, which is this view

We will also refer to the front-end. This is the view the customer will see when viewing the product online.

There are 2 videos available for designing an editable product, the first will provide an overview of adding text items and basic formatting.

The second video will cover additional editing of the back-end including using the pre-populated PDF and the editable product created in Part 1.
