A large format Cutting Table is added to the system defaults, this article will provide an overview of setting up a cutting table into ePrint.

Use the cutting table setup where you are only able to cut one item at a time such as large format items, this is not suitable for sheet fed digital or offset printing.


1. Click the Settings cog (top right corner), then select ePrint MIS.



The window is arranged with a navigation pane on the left-hand side of the screen.


2. Click Plant and Presses, then Cutting Table, then Add New Record.



3. The specifics of the Cutting table must be entered. The table below will provide a general overview of these settings.


Note: Items marked with an asterix (*) are required in order to save the details of the cutting table. 



**Note: This screen is displaying imperial measurements, therefore it is important to ensuring the measurements are accurate according to your region.



FIELDDESCRIPTION
  • Name
  • Description
The name of the cutting table is required and is the name that is referenced throughout system.
The description is optional, it is useful where there is more then one cutting table or the table is listed several times with different cost settings applied.

Paper/Stock Feed Restrictions
  • Minimum Sheet Size for the Plant
  • Maximum Sheet Size for the Plant
  • Maximum Sheet Weight 
All these fields are required.
Measurements are entered as metric or imperial according to the region of the system. The values are according to what the machine accepts for ;
- Minimum sheet height & width
- Maximum sheet Size height & width
- Maximum Sheet weight that the cutting table can take (often there is no maximum)

PLANT CHARGES
Set up Charge ($)

If you want to charge customers a setup charge when this cutting table is used enter the value here.

It is a one off charge to cover the cost for the operator to set up the machine.

Cost per Cut ($)Specify the cost to be applied for each cut to be made using this cutting table.
Minimum Running Charge ($)The minimum running charge is the minimum amount the system will charge for the cutting. If the cutting cost from the cost per cut calculation comes out to be $20 and the minimum charge is set to $30, then the $30 minimum charge will be applied.
Mark Up (%)The mark up % can be applied to the use of this cutting table. It can be entered as a default, alternatively set the markup on each estimate/job.

PLANT CALCULATIONS
In this instance ePrint will treat each printed item as an individual item involving [?] number of cutsIn this field you add a number to tell the cutting table how many cuts are typically required per item.  
The most common is 4 cuts per item (square and rectangular items) but for example you could set up a cutting table that calculates based on one cut per item for circular items.


4. Click Save.
