Browser Pop-Ups are small windows that display on a web-page, sometimes these are created by advertisers or occasionally less trustworthy sources in an attempt to get users to click on to trigger a more sinister link to a virus. There are various tools such as pop-up blockers to prevent these from appearing.


However some pop-ups are trustworthy and required to perform a necessary action, for example, access to a third party site for example a gateway to export from Hexicom to Xero.


To enable the pop-up to display for the purpose of exporting please refer to the Browser links below.


Chrome (Windows)


In Chrome click the vertical dots (right of the address bar), then select Settings.

Firefox (Windows)


In Firefox, when you attempt to open a window that has pop-ups you will be prompted with a yellow bar and warning. If you click the Options button, you will be able to enable pop-ups for the site.



If you don't get the yellow bar, then you can enable the pop-ups with the directions below;

1. Click the Pop-up icon (left of the website address in the address bar), then click the drop-down next to Pop-up Windows and choose Allow



Firefox (Mac)



Edge

1. In Hexicom ensure you are on the web page where you want to allow pop-ups, then copy the address in the address bar.



1. Click the Settings icon. (3 horizontal dots on the right of the browser address bar), then click on Settings in the menu list



2. Click Cookies and site permissions, then select Pop-ups and redirects.



3. Next to Allow, click the Add button and paste the website address, then click Add.
