Introduction:

Hexicom's Proofing system allows users to efficiently manage multiple files for multiple line items within a job. Follow these steps to handle proofs for various components of your project effectively:

  1. Navigate to the Job: Begin by locating the desired job within your Hexicom system. Utilize the "Quick Links" panel on the interface's left side. Click on the "Create" button under the "Proofs" section.

  2. Upload Art Files: A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to upload the art files associated with the job. Click the "Choose File" button and select the relevant files from your computer. Once selected, upload the files by clicking the "Upload" button.

  3. Select Files for Proof: After uploading, tick the checkboxes next to the files you wish to include in the proof. Ensure that you've selected all the necessary files, then proceed by clicking the "Create Proof" button located at the bottom of the window.

  4. Navigate to the Proofing Interface: Upon creation, the system will redirect you to the proofing interface. Here, you'll observe multiple items listed, each corresponding to the files you uploaded. For example, if your project consists of various design elements, each element will be represented as a separate item on the proof.

  5. Return to the Job: To manage proofs for additional line items within the job, utilize the "Quick Links" panel to navigate back to the job interface. Identify the next line item within the project and open its corresponding panel.

  6. Create Proofs for Subsequent Line Items: Select the appropriate job item to proceed. Click on the "Create" button under the "Proofs" section for the selected line item.

  7. Upload Files and Create Proof: Once again, the pop-up will appear and allow art files to be uploaded.

Using the “File Specific To” dropdown, be sure to select the line item the art file belongs to.

In the example below, the Item Title for the second item is “Booklets,” so the “File Specific To” dropdown must be set to “Booklets.”

  8. Review and Manage Proofs: The system will create separate proofs for each line item, allowing for efficient management of multiple files. Depending on the number of files uploaded, the proof will contain multiple items, corresponding to the individual files associated with the line item.

Conclusion:

By following these steps, users can effectively manage proofs for multiple files across various line items within their projects, ensuring comprehensive review and approval processes for each component of the job.
