Editable products in Hexicom are web2print products where the end-user can fill in the details of the print product themselves online.

The vertical and horizontal grouping functions allow for fields on the print product to move vertically or horizontally to fill the space of another field if that field is empty.

Here’s how to set it up:

  1. Set Up Text Fields

    • Ensure all the necessary text fields are set up in your editable product.
  2. Manage Groups

    • In the editable product editor, click the “Manage Group” button.
  3. Select Fields for Grouping

    • In the “Available Fields” section on the left, select the fields you need for the group.
    • Click the “Add” button to move the selected fields to the “Grouped Fields” section on the right.
  4. Configure Group Options

    • In the “Group Option” section at the bottom-left of the pop-up, add the x and y coordinate values for where the grouped fields should be positioned.
  5. Set Spacing Between Fields

    • Use the “Spacing between fields” section to add space between the fields.
  6. Choose Movement Option

    • On the right, in the “Movement Option” section, specify whether it's a vertical or horizontal group.
    • In the “Field Movement Options” dropdown, select whether the fields should move up or down.
  7. Save and Test

    • Click the “Save and Close” button at the bottom.
    • Go back to your editable product, refresh your browser, and test the product to see the result.
