Overview

This update introduces several key enhancements to the way deliveries can be tracked through Delivery Notes, Jobs, and Invoices. These improvements aim to ensure that carrier information, consignment numbers, and URLs are accessible and linked correctly. Additionally, the updates add better visibility for the Customer PO number and introduce new grid columns to enhance data accessibility and clarity.

Key Features of the Upgrade

1. Consignment Number and URL on Jobs and Invoices in the eStore

Previously, the Delivery Note information (Carrier, Consignment Number, and URL) was displayed only under Orders in the eStore. Now, these fields are also visible in the Jobs and Invoices tabs for customer convenience.

  • How it works:
    • If a Job or Invoice is associated with multiple Delivery Notes, up to 4 Delivery Notes will be displayed, each showing:
      • Carrier Name
      • Consignment Number
      • Consignment URL

2. URL Linking Correctly

The consignment URL has been corrected to properly link to the carrier's tracking page.

  • Previous Issue:
The system incorrectly appended the supplier’s URL after the eStore domain, leading to broken links.

  • Fix:
The URL now combines the Supplier's URL and the Consignment Number into a functional tracking link.

Example:

3. Display Customer PO Number on All Grids

The Customer PO Number is now added to the grids in eStores for Orders, Jobs, and Invoices for better traceability.

  • Details:
    • A new column labeled Customer PO has been added as the third column in the grid.
    • This column links to the Customer Order Number from the corresponding Order.

4. Grid Enhancements

Additional columns have been added to the grids for Delivery, Jobs, and Invoices to improve accessibility of delivery-related details.

  • New Columns Added:

    • Carrier: Displays the shipping carrier (e.g., FedEx, UPS).
    • Consignment #: Displays the consignment/tracking number.
    • Consignment URL: Displays the tracking link generated by merging the Supplier URL and Consignment Number.

  • Grid Locations Updated: These columns are now visible under Delivery Notes, Jobs, and Invoices, ensuring consistency and easy access across all views.

How to Use These Enhancements

  1. Carrier Information, Consignment Number, and Consignee URL in Delivery Note, Job, and Invoice Grid Views:

    • Navigate to the Delivery Note, Job, or Invoices grid views in the MIS.
    • Using the "Edit/Add" link to customize the view, look for and add the new columns called Carrier Information, Consignment Number, and Consignee URL.

  2. Viewing Customer PO Numbers From the eStore “Orders” Page:

    • The Customer PO column appears as the third column on the "Orders" page in eStores for the Orders, Jobs, and Invoices tabs.

  3. Verify Consignment Links:

    • Ensure that URLs redirect correctly to the carrier's tracking page.
    • If a link appears broken, confirm the Consignee URL on its respective Delivery Note.
