Overview

This feature allows you to display an image for a line item on the PDF of your system templates, such as an estimate PDF sent to your customer. By uploading an image in the Artwork Files section and selecting the appropriate option, the image will appear alongside the line item details.

How to Set It Up

Follow these steps to enable and display line item images on system template PDFs:

1. Add the Image Field to Your System Template

1. Go to the System Templates area:

   • Navigate to Settings Wheel → ePrint MIS → System Templates.
     
     

2. Use the blue field selector on the left to locate the field labeled [JobEstFile].
   
   

3. Drag and drop the [JobEstFile] field onto your template.

   • Ensure the field is horizontally grouped with another field (such as [ItemTitle]) so it aligns properly with other line item details.
     
     

2. Upload an Image to a Line Item

1. Go to the estimate, job, or invoice where you want to add an image.
   
   

2. Find the Artwork Files section and click the plus button to add a file.
   
   
   

3. In the pop-up window:

   • Click the Add New Record button.
     
     
     
   • Check the box for “Display This File to PDF.”
     
     
   • Choose the image file from your computer.
     
     
   • Click the Upload button.
     
     
     

4. Once uploaded, the system will confirm the image has been successfully added. Close the pop-up window.
   
   
   

3. Generate the PDF

1. Hover over the “Estimate Options” dropdown.
   
   

2. Click “Print/Email” to generate the PDF.
   
   
   

3. The uploaded image will now appear on the PDF next to the line item details.
   
   
   

Best Practices

• Group the [JobEstFile] field with the [ItemTitle] field for a clean and professional layout.
• Use high-resolution images to ensure they display clearly on the PDF.
• Double-check that the “Display This File to PDF” option is checked during the upload process.

• Displaying product images on estimates for clear customer reference.
• Including artwork or design previews for signage, print jobs, or merchandise.
• Adding thumbnail visuals to highlight custom line items.
