The Job View Colour feature in Hexicom allows you to visually highlight jobs in your job list view based on their Delivery Date or Production Date. This helps you quickly identify which jobs are approaching their due dates or are already overdue.

Where to Set It Up

To configure these settings:

  1. Go to the Reports tab.

  2. Scroll to the section labeled Job View Colour.

  3. Check either Delivery Date or Production Date to enable colouring based on that date field.
    • Note: You can only enable one at a time.

Adding Colour Rules

Click Add New Record to define when and how job rows should be coloured. For each rule, you will need to specify:

  • Option– Choose from:
    • on same day – Jobs due today

    • 1/2/3 Days before – Jobs due soon

    • elapsed – Jobs past the selected date

  • Colour – Select a background colour to apply to the job row

You can add multiple records to reflect different urgency levels with distinct colours. For example:

Yellow: On same day
Green: 1 day before
Blue: 2 days before
Red: Elapsed

How It Works

Once configured, the system will apply the background colour to each job row in your job list view based on your settings.

This gives you a visual heads-up on upcoming or overdue jobs tied to either the Delivery Date or Production Date, depending on which option you have selected.

Use the checkbox next to each rule to delete individual records or select multiple rules and click Delete Selected to remove several at once.

Tips

  • Use brighter colours for more urgent jobs to draw attention quickly.

  • Set clear, meaningful timeframes (e.g. 3 days before delivery) to get ahead on scheduling.

  • Keep your rules organized and only use the number of colours you actually need.
