You can now control the order in which fields like Item Title, Description, Artwork, Size, and Custom Descriptions appear on screens such as Estimates, Orders, Jobs, and Invoices. This guide will show you how to customize that order to better match your workflow.

Where to Find It

To get started, go to Content Management > Item Descriptions from the menu.

Choose a Product Type

Each product type (e.g. Single Item, Large Format, Outwork) has its own tab. Click the tab for the type you want to customize.

Reordering the Fields

You can change the display order of fields using drag and drop. Simply click and hold the drag handle next to a field, then move it to your desired position.

When you're finished, click the Save button to apply the changes.

Your updated field order will now appear in the following task types:

  • Estimates
  • Proofs
  • Orders
  • Jobs
  • Purchase Orders
  • Deliveries
  • Invoices

Example: Custom Field Order

Here’s an example of how you might organize your fields:

  1. Item Title
  2. Description
  3. Delivery
  4. Artwork
  5. Custom Description 4
  6. Custom Description 5
  7. Size

Important Notes

  • This only changes how fields appear in the interface. It does not affect how documents or templates are formatted. If you need help updating a template, please contact support.
  • If you're using Phrase Books, they are tied to the field name — not the field's position. So if you move "Description" to a different spot, its associated phrases will still apply correctly.
  • When this feature was released, your existing field order remained unchanged unless you manually reorder it.
  • If you reorder fields, the new layout will reflect in existing Estimates, Jobs, and other records only if a new field is also added. Otherwise, existing records retain their original display order until manually changed.
