We’ve introduced a quicker way to generate PDFs from your estimates, jobs, orders, and invoices in the grid view! Instead of clicking through multiple screens, you can now use three new buttons directly in the grid to streamline your workflow.
What’s New?
When viewing your estimates, jobs, orders, or invoices in the grid view, you’ll now see three small icons in their own column.
Each icon gives you a shortcut to a specific action:
- Default Template: Instantly opens the PDF preview using your default template in a new browser tab.
- Choose Template: Lets you pick from your available templates before previewing or downloading.
- Download Default Template: Immediately generates and downloads a PDF using your default template. A loading indicator will show while it processes.
How to Use the New Buttons
- Go to your Estimates, Jobs, Orders, or Invoices tab.
- In the grid view, locate the right-most column with the three icons.
- Click one of the following based on your needs:
– Opens PDF preview using your default template
– Opens the template selection screen
– Downloads the PDF using the default template
⚠️ Important Notes
- Both the Download and Default Template buttons require you to have a default template set up.
- Each button opens or processes individually per line item in the grid.
Tip: Download Multiple PDFs Quickly
Want to download multiple PDFs quickly? Hold down the Ctrl key (or Cmd on Mac) and click the ⬇️ Download button on each row. This allows you to trigger multiple downloads without waiting!
Why This Matters
Previously, generating a PDF took at least three steps. Now, with these one-click options built into your grid view, you’ll save time and reduce repetitive clicks—especially helpful if you generate PDFs frequently.
