When a Product is created it is allocated or saved to a Category.
Categories give the eStore their structure and work in a similar manner to creating folders on a computer where files are saved. As the Category works like a filing system, you must consider a logical naming convention for the categories, for example a category called Stationery may contain products like notepads, letterhead paper, display folders.
In an eStore the Category is visible on the left navigation pane, it will also be visible in the main part of the screen as an image panel. The image is uploaded into the category making the eStore visually appealing to the user.
The purpose of this article and video is to show how to create a category so that a product can be saved to it.
